Lebanon’s Britt qualifies for state meet

HENDERSONVILLE — Lebanon freshman Aiden Britt was the top Wilson County finisher at the Large Region 5 meet at Sanders Ferry Park last Thursday.

Britt finished fourth with a time of 16:54 to qualify for the state meet.

Wilson Central and Mt. Juliet finished second and third, respectively, in the boys’ meet to qualify for the state. The Wildcats finished with 79 points, trailing first-place Henry County by five. The Golden Bears had 90 points. Lebanon was out of the money with 323.

The top 10 finishers plus the top three teams qualified for this Saturday’s state meet at Steeplechase in Nashville. Neither Lebanon team qualified for state.

LHS’ India Mastin finished 16th in 23:01, Allie Dozier was 44th in 25:067 and Madeline Walker 48th in 25:22.

Ethan Njezic was 47th for the Blue Devils in 18:54 while North Hopper came in 60th in 20:14, Dylan Bates 9th in 21:24 and Slone Carr 108th in 22:39.
