Blankenship tops among Mid-South qualifiers at national meet

VANCOUVER, Wash. — Junior Taylor Blankenship completed the 5K course in 19:40 on Saturday at the NAIA Women’s Cross Country Championships at Fort Vancouver National Park.

The Wilson Central-graduate finished 177th among 338 runners, one of four individuals from the Mid-South Conference to receive automatic berths into the national championships. Blankenship was the top finisher among the four individuals from the league.

Evelyn Moore from the University of the Cumberlands placed 207th, Lindsey Wilson’s Mia Cornette finished 220th and Life University’s Elizabeth Skipper was 227th.
