Hoppenjans, Kralj earn NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors

Cumberland seniors Kayala Hoppenjans and Kaitlin Kralj were named 2018 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes on Friday, as announced by the national office at the conclusion of the NAIA Championships in Clermont, Florida.

Student-athletes must be a junior or senior and maintain a 3.50 grade-point-average to be eligible for the award. Kralj posted a 3.92 GPA in health and human performance while Hoppenjans held a 3.86, also in health and human performance.

The NAIA honored a total of 466 student-athletes from 137 institutions.
